Manufacturing Engineer II

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Polyvinyl Films, Inc. is currently seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for developing high quality manufacturing processes for our manufacturing floor machinery.
- Develop testing processes and perform testing and validation.
- Develop creative engineering solutions to meet product requirements.
- Generate engineering documentation, mechanical drawings, and bill of materials.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed.
- Develop and test effective automated and manual systems.
- Organize and manage manufacturing workflows and resources.
- Optimize facility layouts, production lines and machine operations.
- Resolve issues and delays in production.
- Find ways to reduce cost and maximize quality.
- Study production and machine requirements.
- Perform detailed documentation.
- Collaborate with other internal engineers, and work with vendors.
- Prepare and release required design documentation to manufacturing for new products and provide support.
- Ensure manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
- Formulate new, innovative approaches to solve technical problems.
- Ongoing improvements to our current product lines.
- Troubleshoot machinery failures and implement solution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, or similar, required.
- 5 + years’ experience desired.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques.
- Firm grasp of engineering concepts.
- Experience using CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
- Experience with electrical control systems for machinery.
- Project Management skills.
- Exceptional problem solving and technical skills.
- Experience in Mechanical design, development, and testing.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive professional attitude.
- Must be self-motivated and a great team player.
