Mechanical Engineer II

JOB SUMMARY:

Polyvinyl Films, Inc. is currently seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of new and existing products and processes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Plan and create mechanical designs for new products and manufacturing needs.
• Develop testing processes and perform testing and validation on new product designs.
• Develop creative engineering solutions to meet product requirements.   
• Generate engineering documentation, mechanical drawings, and bill of materials.
• Generate prototypes for testing, and customers demonstration.
• Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget.
• Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process.
• Collaborate with other internal engineers, and work with vendors.
• Prepare and release required design documentation to manufacturing for new products and provide support.
• Identify and analyze basic design problems to achieve optimal solutions that satisfy cost and technical requirements.
• Formulate new, innovative approaches to solve technical problems.
• Ongoing improvements to our current product lines.
• Troubleshoot failures and implement mechanical design solution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or similar, required.
• 5 + years’ experience desired.
• Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products.
• Experience using CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
• Experience with electrical control systems for machinery
• Project Management
• Exceptional problem solving and technical skills.
• Experience in Mechanical design, development, and testing.
• Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive professional attitude.
• Must be self-motivated and a great team player.
