Preserved for generations

With time-tested strength and cling that stretches across all our varieties, there’s something here for every kitchen.

Polyvinyl Films, Inc., is a third-generation, family-owned premium food wrap manufacturer. Since 1954, we’ve focused 100% on making the world’s strongest, clingiest premium food wrap products for consumer, professional and institutional use.

Our Roots

Our story is deeply rooted in the American dream, beginning
in 1954.

The Blackstone River, a once-thriving artery of America's industrial heartbeat, runs between our two manufacturing plants. From these humble beginnings, Polyvinyl Films emerged as a pioneer, recognized by leading food industry publications as the best performing plastic food wrap.

Our manufacturing plants were originally a Cotton Mill.

This mill was powered by the Pleasant Valley Dam, located about half a mile upstream. The railroad freight and passenger stations were immediately adjacent to the plant, and the Providence and Worcester Railroad Company still delivers freight to the plant today!

Choosing Polyvinyl Films brands stretch-tite® & freeze-tite® means supporting a tradition of American quality, jobs, and a future of innovation.

It means being part of a story that celebrates local manufacturing in a small New England town that has contributed to America's progress since the days of the Industrial Revolution.

Production

Our film is made by an extrusion process. Granules of PVC are melted and forced through a die to form a bubble. The bubble stretches the film into the desired thickness. Once it reaches that thickness, it is collapsed between metal rollers to form a thin film. Next, the film is rolled onto a large metal roll, where it is unwound, cut, and rerolled into smaller rolls.

Finally, the rolls are placed into cardboard boxes and ready to be used at home!

Sustainability

Our recyclable PVC wraps and paperboard boxes ensure that our products are environmentally friendly from production to disposal. Every step we take towards reducing food waste has a significant impact on lowering global emissions and conserving valuable resources.
