Production Line Operator

GENERAL SUMMARY

Setup, operate, or tend turning machines (windup) which turn plastic material on large spindles.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Ensure that layer counts are accurate
• Stamp cores legibly
• Manually lift rolls from spindles, places on scale for weighing and stacks finished rolls gaylord
• Ensure that empty gaylords skids are available for change when full gaylords are ready
• General cleaning/housekeeping

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

• Other duties as assigned.

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of production processes and quality control.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Require good hand and eye coordination when working with sharp blades and box cutters
• Adhere to safety standards and wears personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hair nets)
• Factory environment, indoors, climate controlled, ventilated
• Exposure to loud noises
• Exposure to dust and vibration
• Potential exposure to manufacturing chemicals
• Exposure to machinery and mechanical moving parts
