Rewind Operator Team Lead

GENERAL SUMMARY
Polyvinyl Films, Inc. is currently seeking a Rewind Operator Team Lead to provide supervision and guidance to the Rewind Machine Operators. The Rewind Operator Team Lead will also be responsible for monitoring and maintain rewinding equipment to meet production schedule deadlines, while ensuring accuracy and meeting Polyvinyl’s quality standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; trade school experience a plus
- Must be able to read instructions in English or Spanish
- 2 plus years’ experience with rewind equipment in a production environment
- Experience leading and/or supervising others
- Strong math and mechanical skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to change
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to read written/oral instructions including safety rules/operating procedures
- Good communication skills and the ability to get along well with others
- Team-player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time, bend, climb, squat, reach, pull, push and lift items that weigh anywhere from 25-50+ pounds
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide supervision and guidance to the Rewind Machine Operators
- Monitor and maintain rewinding equipment to meet production schedule deadlines; conduct quality check and inspections
- Ensure accuracy and safety to meet Polyvinyl’s quality standards
- Follow all safety guidelines and advise Production Manager of any safety issues or concerns
- Set up equipment and operate machinery; maintain cleanliness of production area
- Ensure all finished products are in accordance with the correct specifications
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 lbs
- Ability to continuously walk up and down stairs after each batch (70+ times per shift)
- Adheres to safety standards and wears personal protection equipment (safety glasses required, mask and gloves optional)
- Factory environment, indoors, climate controlled and ventilated
- Noise level is usually load
- Exposure to dust and vibration
- Frequently exposed to manufacturing chemicals
- Exposure to machinery and mechanical moving parts
