Safety Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Safety Manager at Polyvinyl Films, Inc. is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for employees, temporary employees and contractors, while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and manufacturing industry standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Conducting risk assessments and regular evaluations of existing safety protocols
- Organizing safety meetings and providing safety training to employees, temporary workers and contractors
- Performing routine inspections of worksites, equipment, and tools to identify safety concerns
- Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-miss events
- Maintaining compliance with local, state and federal safety laws and industry-specific requirements
- Developing and maintaining emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures
- Establishing a system for reporting and documenting safety incidents.
- Analyzing data to identify areas of improvement
- Collaborate with management, supervisors and employees/workers to address safety concerns
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience
- Proven experience as a Safety Manager in manufacturing (preferred) or related industry
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to the industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk management and mitigation
- Bilingual – Spanish & English
- OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certified
